Some of the many ways of enjoying vermouth

Vermouth can be enjoyed on its own, with ice and a slice of orange. It can be mixed with seltzer water for a refreshing aperitivo. Or it can be mixed in a cocktail, there are countless classics that feature vermouth as one of their ingredients. And it can be used as the base for a lower ABV drink.

top with prosecco

build directly in a wine glass over ice

Garnish: orange slice

Vermouth mule

2oz vermouth

0.25oz lime juice

top with ginger beer

build directly in a copper mug

garnish: cinnamon stick

Vermouth highball

2oz vermouth

top with seltzer water

build directly in a collins glass over ice

Garnish: orange peel

Vermouth sour

2oz vermouth

0.75oz lemon juice

0.25oz simple syrup

1 eggwhite

dry shake, then shake again with

ice and pour into a chilled coupe

Garnish: Angoistura bitters

Classic cocktails

Manhattan
2oz rye whiskey
1oz sweet vermouth
3 dashes of Angostura bitters

Method:  stir ingredients in a mixing glass, pour in a chilled coupe

Garnish: maraschino cherries
Negroni
1oz gin
1oz sweet vermouth
1oz Campari

Method: pour ingredients directly into a tumbler with ice, stir

Garnish: orange slice
Americano
1.5oz sweet vermouth
1.5oz Campari
top with seltzer water

Method: build directly into a collins glass

Garnish: orange slice
Vieux Carre
0.75oz rye whiskey
0.75oz cognac
0.75oz sweet vermouth

0.5oz Benedectine
2 dashes Angostura bitters
2 dashes Peycheaud bitters

Method: stir ingredients in a mixing glass and pour into a chilled coupe

Garnish: maraschino cherries
